About This Event

Boulder Symphony presents The Good, the Bad, & the Music family concert on Saturday, February 7, 2026, with performances at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the Dairy Arts Center. This laugh-out-loud Wild West–themed adventure features a would-be “Best Conductor in the West” bandit storming the stage to take over the orchestra! With help from the Sheriff of Musical Harmony and plenty of audience participation, chaos turns into an action-packed musical adventure, teaching kids what conductors do: keep the beat, study music, and help orchestras play together. Part of Boulder Symphony’s Curiosity Concerts, specially designed for families with children ages 2–10. Interactive, playful, and welcoming—kids sing, move, and engage with live orchestral music in a relaxed, joyful environment. Features iconic cowboy themes, including The Magnificent Seven, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, William Tell Overture, Hoe-Down (Copland), Maple Leaf Rag, Indiana Jones, and original sing-along “Cowboys Ride.” Conductor Devin Patrick Hughes with performers Joana Ceja and John Boggs. $11.50-$23.

Organizer

Dairy Arts Center

Dairy Arts Center was founded in 1992 to provide cooperative workspaces for local artists and venues for live performance in Boulder County. Originally owned by the Watts-Hardy Dairy, the building’s transformation from a former milk-processing facility to a thriving multi-disciplinary arts hub for Boulder and beyond is a nationally recognized example of constructive urban development and renewal. The Dairy’s founders envisioned a community arts center where artists of all genres would create and inspire each other and the greater community.
