Event Details

Join Common Ground People’s Collective and our community on March 30th at the Colorado Capitol West Steps as we stand together against the government’s blatant erasure of trans individuals and their rights.
? Sunday, March 30th
? Colorado Capitol West Steps
? 12PM – 4PM
Let’s make our voices heard. Let’s fight for justice. Let’s remind them: WE WILL NOT BECOME INVISIBLE.

Transgender Day of Visibility is a day to celebrate the lives and lived experiences of trans people! In this current moment, being visible as a trans person is a radical act. While there has been significant progress in recent years to protect trans rights in every state across the US – including Colorado – we continue to see significant political pushback against gender-affirming health care, trans youth inclusion in sports, and respect for trans students at school across the local and state levels. Aside from political opposition, the trans community continues to face an ongoing epidemic of fatal violence, especially against Black and Brown women. In the face of all of this we still show up authentically, we protect each other, we care for each other, and we refuse to be invisible.

Organizer

Common Ground People's Collective

We are excited to introduce Common Ground People’s Collective: an organizing collaborative that will continue facilitating peaceful protests in Denver, Colorado. We believe in the power of nonviolent protest to protect democracy and resist fascism. Which serves as a hub for: ? Announcements for future protests & direct actions ? Volunteer opportunities for those who want to help organize ? Community engagement initiatives to build a stronger resistance movement While we are open to sharing protest events across Colorado, our primary focus will remain on Denver initiatives. To expand our reach and strengthen our organizing efforts, we are currently working on creating additional social media platforms under this brand. Stay tuned for more ways to connect and get involved! Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep building this movement together. Stay engaged, stay organized, and keep fighting for justice.
