John was always interested in songwriting and patterned his early music after his heroes, Lennon & McCartney. His current favorites and influences include: Gregory Alan Isakov, Josh Ritter, Anais Mitchell, Storyhill, and Bon Iver. John is most recently a finalist in the Great American Song Contest, singer-songwriter category with his song, “Yesterday (I Wish There Was a Way)“.
