GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – The Honorable Judge Julie C. Hoskins, Chief Judge of the 19th Judicial District, is seeking applications to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Board.

The VALE Board is a volunteer five-member community board which distributes grant money to
agencies who serve crime victims in Weld County. Board members are appointed by the judicial
district’s Chief Judge for a three-year term followed by a possible re-appointment to a second three-year term. Duties of Board Members include reviewing and evaluating grant applications, making funding decisions, examining quarterly reports from previously funded agencies and attending board  meetings.

There are approximately six meetings (including some full day meetings) per year and a time
commitment of approximately 40 hours per year is necessary for meeting preparation.

Anyone interested in applying for this position should submit a resume and a letter of introduction by November 3, 2023 and be available to attend funding award meetings in 2024.
