From June 6 through June 16 throughout Boulder County, Cultural Caravan’s third annual June Festival presents free and affordable multicultural music performances of top quality. Some of the area’s most notable musicians perform in indoor and outdoor venues in Boulder, Longmont, Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, and Broomfield. Tickets are either free or $5 — always free for kids and students.

Internationally renowned cellist Josh Halpern founded the nonprofit in 2021 in response to the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on local arts organizations and small businesses as well as the professional musicians who rely on them. Cultural Caravan organized new opportunities for performances at local businesses, focusing on paying musicians well and keeping tickets free or inexpensive so that visitors would spend money supporting the host establishments. To date, according to the organization’s website, Cultural Caravan has held more than 80 events, supporting more than 70 artists and 60 local businesses and community organizations while reinvesting hundreds of thousands of dollars locally.
