Boulder, CO [October 24, 2024] Downtown Boulder’s annual trick-or-treating event, Munchkin Masquerade, returns Thursday, October 31, 2024. From 3 PM – 6 PM, children (recommended ages 12 and under) can visit participating Treat Stops consisting of 70+ downtown businesses who graciously provided treats along the Pearl Street Mall, East End, West End districts and adjacent streets.
“We remain eternally grateful for the support of the downtown businesses community and their eagerness to participate in this family-favorite tradition year-after-year,” said Anna Salim, VP of Operations and Programming. “Please remember to thank your local neighbors for their generosity at each Treat Stop you visit!”
Along with trick-or-treating, the Downtown Boulder Partnership invites families to visit their free coloring activities tent on the 1400 block of the Pearl Street Mall (next to Illegal Pete’s). Downtown Boulder Ambassadors will also be handing out goodies at the Visitor Information Center located at 1303 Pearl throughout the event.
Event-goers are encouraged to come back downtown to shop and dine at local businesses throughout the winter season. “While Munchkin Masquerade is all about kids and costumes, it also provides a reminder to adult attendees of all the amazing businesses downtown has to offer. As we approach the holiday season, shopping and dining locally are more important than ever,” said Salim.
Munchkin Masquerade is a free event produced by Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives and presented by Google. Sponsors include the City of Boulder and the Daily Camera. For more information including the full list of participating Treat Stops, visit MunchkinMasquerade.com
Additional spirited happenings throughout downtown on Halloween (October 31) include: License No. 1’s Speakeasy Halloween, Avanti’s Halloween Party, The Colorado Club’s Halloween Night Party and Pedro’s Taco & Tequila Bar‘s Costume Party for 21+ fun.
