We welcome you to attend our Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulder County Community Celebrations 2024 themed, “30 Years: Dream Makers, Mile Markers, & Milestones” presented by the NAACP, Boulder Branch, Second Baptist Church, and the Museum of Boulder.
Our two Boulder County events promise to be dynamic, powerful events with national and local headliners!

On Sunday the keynote speaker is Sheyann Webb-Christburg, whom Dr. King, Jr. called his “smallest freedom fighter” and the co-author of the book Selma, Lord, Selma. Phil Washington, CEO of Denver International Airport, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Both programs feature local spoken word and musical talents.

In Monday’s program, four local youth will keynote the event–those who are now living Dr. King’s DREAM. A pre-event youth art workshop will be led by local children’s author, Lulu Buck.

A well-deserved tribute will be presented to one of Boulder County’s Living Legends. The official history-making designation of Boulder’s US Highway 36, between mile markers 32 and 37, as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Highway will be celebrated. You won’t want to miss these soul stirring, informative and powerful events.

Our first event will take place at the Boulder Jewish Community Center on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 3 pm at 6007 Oreg Ave Boulder, CO 80303.
