Sunshine Storytime

Fridays, July 3 and 24, 10 a.m., E.B. Rains, Jr. Memorial Park Dogwood Pavilion, 11800 Community Center Drive | Ages 2-7

After we read a story, we’ll have fun doing an activity inspired by the book. Event themes: July 3 – America and July 24 – Music. Guardians must stay with their children. This drop-in activity is free.

Senior Independence Day Potluck

Fri., July 3, 12 p.m., Northglenn Senior Center, 1 E. Memorial Parkway | Ages 55+

July 4th Festival

Celebrate America’s birthday! Some call the event the city’s largest family picnic as families and friends bring out their blankets and picnic baskets to get a great seat for the day. Explore your creativity and building ability with our giant blue blocks on the lawn. Guardians must stay with their children. This drop-in event is free.

Gaming with the Chief

Challenge Police Chief Jim May in crokinole – a disk-flicking dexterity board game. Refreshments served. This drop-in event is free.

Free Summer Concert Series: Blessing Bled Chimanga

Thurs., July 9, 6:30 p.m., Festival Lawn, 1 E. Memorial Parkway

Grab a blanket or lawn chair, bring some snacks, or indulge in delicious treats from the on-site food trucks, and immerse yourself in a delightful, music-filled summer evening. Blessing Bled Chimanga will bring an energetic blend of African rhythms and marimba beats. Co-hosted with Anythink Libraries as part of its Community Concert Series. This event is free.

Join a city-based learning and play day where children discover real-world roles through hands-on play. Each space is designed to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and life skills in a fun and safe setting. Guardians must stay with their children. Cost is free for this drop-in program.

Passport Saturday

Sat., July 18, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. by appointment only, Northglenn City Hall, 11701 Community Center Drive

Normally only available on weekdays, the Northglenn City Clerk’s Office will be taking passport applications on this Saturday – but you must register in advance at www.northglenn.org/passports or call 303.450.8756. As a bonus, if you bring in a non-perishable food item, you can have your photo taken for free. The donations will be given to Good Shepherd Food Bank in Northglenn.

Sound Bath

Ranger Ride: Colorado Bees and Pollinator Gardens

Learn about the local bee population from Northglenn Park Rangers. This fun and easy adventure will span about 1.25 miles and include a visit to the Fox Run Pollinator Garden, making it perfect for the whole family. Northglenn Youth Theatre: “Beauty Is The Beast”

An enchantress curses Belle to take the form of a monstrous beast until she can find true love. (Turns out Beast never learned to look past appearances.) National Night Out

Join us for America’s night out against crime!

National Night Out is one of the country’s biggest neighborhood parties. Visit with neighbors while enjoying a fun potluck. There’s bound to be one in your area! Northglenn Police Department officers, City staff, and elected officials will make the rounds to meet with as many residents as possible.
