True Love
Since the early 1990s, G. Love & Special Sauce’s blend of hip hop, R&B and East Coast blues carved a niche in a blended genre. Garrett Dutton’s (G. Love) laid-back musical style finds its complement in drummer Jeffrey Clemens’ intense rhythms along with a second home in Boulder where they’ve been selling out for years. Join G. Love & Special Sauce at the Boulder Theater with opener John Fullbright, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter whose own style is the perfect side dish to the flavorful main course. One night only on Friday, March 15. Get the info at bouldertheater.com.
Your Lucky Day
For 50 years, the annual Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been organized completely by a dedicated team of volunteers, ensuring that the Mile High is cloaked in green pride. Grab your green duds, throw on a shamrock or 12 and head down to the Coors Field parking lot near 27th and Blake on March 16. Once you’ve seen your fill of floats, marching bands and entertainment, stumble into any one of the dozens of downtown bars, sure to be stocked with plenty of green beer. Enter the Legend
Join Arlo Guthrie as he continues his solo tour, Here Comes The Kid, and pays tribute to one of the most influential folk artists in music history—his father. If music legend Woody Guthrie were still alive, he would be 100 years old. Relive all of the classic folk songs rekindled by arguably the person best qualified on the planet to pull it off: his son Arlo, interspersed with some of his own originals and plenty of stories of growing up Guthrie. March 30, 7 pm, at the Boulder Theatre, 2032 14th St., bouldertheater.com
