Following the Presidents speech on Thursday regarding executive action on immigration reform, Chairman of the Colorado Democratic Party Rick Palacio said in a statement that, “I applaud the President for taking executive action on immigration and acting within his authority to fix parts of our broken immigration system. These actions will not only provide relief to immigrant families but they’ll help to strengthen our economy and our national security. Now it’s time for Republicans in Washington to lead and pass legislation to permanently fix our broken immigration system.”F
Meanwhile, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee had a differing opinion, stating that, ““It is interesting that Obama cites Scripture as the justification for him taking unilateral action on illegal immigrants. Funny how, for the first six years of his Administration, even the two years when he had unstoppable majorities in both houses, Scripture did not compel immediate action. But two weeks after the final election he’ll have to deal with, suddenly, Scripture requires us to do this.”
It strikes us that the President is behaving Presidential and taking hard action to do the right thing. What do you think?
