There is a new social media aimed for women to celebrate their bodies – more specifically, their stretch marks.T

The campaign, Love Your Lines, celebrates stretch marks on both Instagram and Tumblr by encouraging users to upload black and white photos of their stretch marks to those social media sites.

Love Your Lines is aimed to celebrate “real women, real bodies, and real beauty.” The Instagram account was started last summer by two anonymous moms on the East Coast, and has grown to over 134,000 followers with 430 submissions.

The account is set up similar to Humans of New York, where each post includes a story behind the stretch marks, whether it’s from childbirth or from weight and muscle changes. The submissions are user generated, where anyone can email their content for a chance to get featured on the account.

“#LoveYourLines is a social media photo campaign to help showcase the beauty of the female body,” says the account description. “This account is curated by two mommas hoping to make a difference in the world of female body image. To submit your photos, please email [email protected]. All women of different shapes, sizes, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to submit… We can’t wait to see your love lines!”

Stretch marks affect women of all shapes and sizes. Many women have come to view stretch marks as nothing to be ashamed of, but as a sort of scar that reflects important moments in one’s life. Each has a story to be told, from a specific journey each woman has gone on.
