FoodNews_2The bad boy of cooking is headed to Colorado for a special one-night-only appearance at the Bellco Theatre. Anthony Bourdain is on tour to promote his first cookbook in more than a decade. Appetites take his 40-plus years of cooking and traveling and narrows it all down to the Bourdain’s favorite dishes. Now, as Bourdain sheds his bad boy reputation, he’s traveling less and entertaining at home, thanks to his new daughter. The Hunger will bring Bourdain to the stage as he discusses his travels and favorite dishes, signs his new book and meets his fans. While he’s not scheduled until November, this popular event may just sell out, and tickets are now on sale. 700 14th Street, Denver 80202. Tickets: $60.40 to $330 www.anthonybourdainontour.com

FoodNews_3Curing in BoCo
There is just one place in Boulder County that is licensed to make and sell fermented, dry-cured sausages. Blackbelly Butcher recently opened in Boulder, bringing Chef Hosea Rosenberg’s fresh farm to table concept to both his restaurant and butcher shop, which also has its own kitchen. Within those unassuming walls dwells a true meat expert, and Butcher Nate Singer is there, ready to deliver on the finest locally-sourced meat available.

FoodNews_1Blackbelly’s unique licensing means that it’s the only place in town where you can actually get freshly made prosciutto, though Chef Rosenberg’s first
batch won’t be cured for another two years or so. 1606 Conestoga Street, Boulder, 80301 (720) 479-8296 www.blackbelly.com
