Matthew Helm has appeared in movies and commercials, has over 20 years of martial arts experience, and has danced in leading roles in ballets such as Giselle, Le Corsaire, Nutcracker, & Don Quixote, to name a few. He trained at Ballet West Company and worked with choreographers from Paul Taylor Co. and Christopher Wheeldon Rep. He travels year round as a guest artist and ballet teacher. Look for him in is 9th season with Boulder Ballet.
Emma Michaux is a dancer with the Boulder Ballet company. The 18 year old has been dancing since she was 4 years old and has loved every moment of it. She trained at Colorado Ballet Society in Colorado Springs and has attended San Francisco Ballet, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, and Texas Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive programs. Emma will be involved in the upcoming performances with Boulder Ballet including the Nutcracker, FACES, a unique show featuring works created by the dancers themselves, a contemporary masters program in the spring featuring a piece called Airs by the great Paul Taylor, and in the Sleeping Beauty, which is a bucket list ballet for the young dancer. Emma’s favorite article of clothing is her shoes. With a good pair of shoes your whole outfit transforms, and as a dancer, shoes make a big difference.

Alyssa Henningsen is originally from Chester, New Jersey where she grew up doing competitive dance. She continued her dance endeavors at Bucknell University, minoring in Dance with double majors in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies. Alyssa is a founding member of Edgar L. Page: Feel the Movement and is a featured performer in their upcoming production of “The Intersection of Truth and Beauty” on November 29, 2019. Tickets are available at AXS.com.
Mohammed York is a proud Colorado Native and recent Colorado State University Graduate! He discovered his passion for dance while competing in sports which led to training and performing with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble. A passionate social justice reform advocate, York is currently a member of the Hannah Kahn Dance Company and will perform in “The Intersection of Truth and Beauty” presented by Edgar L. Page: Feel the Movement on November 29.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Victor Adeniran, developed his love of dance growing up in Nigeria, West Africa. He was a United States Marine for 14 years and a graduate of the University of Colorado. An accomplished visual artist and aerial dancer, Victor is producing a Dia De Los Muertos performance with MOXIE Luxe on November 1 (www.dayofthedeadbymoxie.com) and will be featured in The Intersection of Truth and Beauty on November 29 (AXS.com).
Naturelle Garcia Taylor, is an avid interdisciplinary arts student with interests in dance, photography, and painting. Largely trained at the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Academy, she is a current member of their Youth Ensemble. She is thrilled to be working with Edgar L. Page: Feel the Movement on their production of “The Intersection of Truth and Beauty” on November 29, 2019 at 7pm in The Ellie Caulkins Studio Loft. Tickets are available at AXS.com.

Lauren and Brook are co-directors of Eunice Embodiment, an umbrella organization engaging performance, movement education and creative mentorship.
Brooke and Lauren are offering CULTIVATE creative practice labs on September 21 (free of cost), October 26, November 16, and December 14 from 1-4 pm at Block 1750 in Boulder, and a CULTIVATE creative practice retreat at Cocoon Portugal retreat center March 14-21, 2020.
Lauren Beale, a Colorado native, is a performing artist, choreographer, collaborator and embodiment activist. She holds an MFA in Dance from CU-Boulder with an emphasis in interdisciplinary performance. Lauren has performed nationally and internationally with Michelle Ellsworth Artland, Gesel Mason Performance Projects, 3rd Law Dance/Theatre, David Capps/Dances, Interweave Dance Theater, Kim Olson/Sweet Edge, Curt Haworth and Dancers and Ellis Wood Dance. She has also collaborated with Wade Madsen, Ondine Geary, Kate Speer, Mark McCoin, Jessica Hendricks, and Amanda Leise.

Brooke McNamara, originally from Encinitas, CA, is a dancer-choreographer, poet, mother, and zen monk, living in Boulder, CO. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and Dance, and an MFA in Dance. Brooke has danced professionally as a member of contemporary companies LEVYdance (San Francisco), Malashock and Dancers (San Diego), and Kim Olson/ Sweet Edge (Denver), as well as in the works of Dan Wagoner, David Dorfman, Eddie Taketa, and Gesel Mason.

Shawnee
Shawnee is in her final year as a dance major at Metropolitan State University, where she choreographs, performs, and serves as one of the administrators for the dance program’s student organization. Metro State’s annual fall show, Sonder, is taking place on November 10th at the Cleo Parker Robinson Theater. You can catch the debut of her latest work, as well as her performing in pieces choreographed by her peers.
