Presented and hosted by Boulder Bookstore, the show promises sharp insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and the signature wit that has made the podcast a favorite among listeners curious about how the economy really works.

Cactus Cat, March 27th

Cactus Cat is an exploration into the unknown and ethereal with saxophone as the secret weapon for creative melodies. Presented by Dazzle at the Denver Arts Complex, Cactus Cat’s performance is certain to bring something unexpected while keeping you dancing nonetheless. With music resembling adventure, indie, jazz, and rock, there is something for everyone in Cactus Cat’s grooves.

Denver Jazz Fest, Apr. 7–12
The annual Denver Jazz Fest is bringing performances to 15 venues both throughout Denver. Experience the masterful piano-playing and singing of Carmen Lundy at Cleo Parker Robinson, the smooth jazz of Bob James at the Newman Center, the jazz fusion and funk sounds of Ghost Note, and the Motet at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom. There will be 40+ events happening throughout the week.

Volcano: A Science Comedy Show, Apr. 24
Scientist-turned-comedian Ben Miller is bringing his science comedy show to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It’s part of his tour following his time as the artist-in-residence at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. This show will make for a unique evening of science facts, self-deprecation, and volcano humor.

Earlybirds Club 2026, Apr. 17

Want to explore one of Boulder’s most iconic venues without being out all night? Boulder Theater hosts the Earlybirds Club. The club brings famous music hits from the ‘80s and ‘90s to the dance floor at Boulder Theater. The evening starts early at 6 p.m. and wraps up by 10, allowing concert-goers to be home after the show or continue their night elsewhere.

Student and Community Ski Film Competition, Apr. 4

Fox Theatre will host a unique blend of Boulder’s ski community and local college flare when the ski film competition brings CU Boulder students, filmmakers and ski enthusiasts for an unforgettable cinematic experience. The night is hosted by CU’s Boulder Freeride and marks a celebration of Boulder’s robust ski and snowboard culture. Come by for film, music, and a long night of ski-themed festivities.

AFB and Vinyl Drift LIVE at The End Lafayette, Apr. 11

Looking for a night of 90s hits and nostalgia in Lafayette? Join The End at Dog House Music Studios and Rock for the People for AFB and Vinyl Drift Live! AFB is a cover band based in Colorado that is guaranteed to show out with all your favorite songs from the 90s. Vinyl Drift, formed in 2024 after a jam session, pulls inspiration from blues, rock, jazz, and electronic music. Doors open at 6:30, with the show starting at 7 p.m. Snacks and beverages will also be available to purchase.

Terms of Endearment, March 27 to April 12

The Longmont Theatre Company presents their spring show, Terms of Endearment!. This family comedy/drama was adapted for the stage by Dan Gordon based on Larry McMurtry’s novel of the same title. Follow Aurora Greenway and her daughter Emma through the twists and turns of their relationship and embrace themes of family, resilience and the power of love.

Boulder Guitar Society’s All-Star Concert, April 4 

The Boulder Guitar Society, a nonprofit organized by local guitarists of various genres, is hosting their All-Star and Friends In Concert at the Boulder Public Library’s Canyon Theater. Listen to ensembles including, but not limited to, acoustic, classical and Brazilian styles. Selected members will also perform solos that they have been refining in practice.

Spectrum of Sound, April 4

Come join The P.L.A.Y Education Corporation in their silent disco and auction to raise funds for neurodiverse families here in Colorado. This silent disco will have sensory friendly features such as a relaxation corner, flexible participation, sensory-friendly environments, and a clear schedule to fit any possible needs. Enjoy a Wine and Coffee pull where, for a $20 ticket, you can take home a mystery wine or bag of coffee. There will also be a silent auction full of great goodies and the chance to make meaningful and direct connections with others in your community as well as donate to your community.

Tiny Tot Town, April 4th

In this family friendly and free event, Broomfield High School transforms their gymnasium into a toddler-scaled city-scape. This is a fantastic opportunity to allow kids aged 1-6 to explore how cities work in a safe environment made just for them. They will have the ability to interact with kids their own age, explore different types of jobs and community roles, and engage in sensory-friendly, open-ended play.
