Keep Life Interesting. That’s the motto Carrie MaKenna, Founder and President, inherited from her mother and three generations of Colorado artists and art collectors in her family. The Colorado Women’s Art Museum (CWAM) was established from MaKenna’s lifetime of experience and as a Colorado art maker, a legacy leading to the creation of this Museum for the state’s talented women visual artists. Historically and today, accomplished women artists have lacked adequate opportunities for exhibitions through traditional galleries and museums. We're on a mission to change that.
