Waterloo Celebrates the Man in Black

Published on: February 19th, 2013

Johnny Cash is an American legend…an American legend who knew how to party. So when you want to celebrate the late musician’s birthday, you can’t rest on your laurels. You must go big.

And that’s exactly what Louisville’s Waterloo is planning to do. On Feb. 26, Waterloo will host Johnny Cash’s 81st Birthday Blackout Party with food, booze, live music and an ice cream birthday cake from Sweet Cow, also in Louisville. The Gasoline Lollipops will open at 8:30pm. The “Johnny Cash Meal” will include fried chicken, mash potatoes, green beans and Jack Daniels pecan pie. And don’t forget to grab your “God Bless Johnny Cash” bumper sticker.
