Super fun at SuperKids

Today it’s snowy and gray, but just Saturday the weather was as upbeat as the festivities. Translation: Our SuperKids event was a huge hit!

All the fun and sun made me wish I was a kid myself … so I could venture into the bouncy castle. I would have if I were as brave as Superman, who didn’t let age stop him from climbing the rock wall. (He did, however, let his fear of heights).

But I digress. We had petting zoos, face painting, pony rides, jousting and stilt-walkers. What more could you ask for as a kid (or  as an adult looking for some great activities before nap time)?

All in all, it was the kids who came out the winners, and the adults who got tons of free swag from the giveaway bags and camps and restaurants dishing out cool freebies. For us, it was great seeing Yellow Scene readers out en masse, enjoying the community whose stories we tell. And since pictures tell a thousand words, here are some from the event, courtesy of M. Douglas Wray who sent them along after enjoying the day.

A big thanks to our readers and all the volunteers who helped to make this event the amazing success it was!
