The Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry 2022 is back and better than ever!

DENVER (March 4, 2022) – Make a difference in the lives of homeless pets and horses by participating in the 29th annual Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry! On Saturday, May 7, thousands of pet owners and animal advocates will walk, run, or scurry in support of animals in need across Colorado.

For the first time ever, the Furry Scurry will include both a virtual and in-person option for participants. The in-person event, beginning at 7:30 a.m., will take place along a 2-mile loop in Denver’s Washington Park, followed by an afternoon of family fun, including a Flealess Market and one-of-a-kind contests. New this year will also be a 0.9-mile mini march, as well as a beer garden.

Those who choose to attend virtually will have until May 31 to scurry remotely. Parks, trails, paths, and even treadmills are encouraged. Feline friends can participate virtually as well.

For 29 years and counting, the signature fundraiser has helped make it possible to provide medical and foster care to sick and injured animals, crucial behavior training, and investigations of animal neglect and mistreatment. Together, these efforts contribute directly to the Dumb Friends League’s overall mission to end pet homelessness and animal suffering.

Both in-person and virtual participants may form a team of five or more to work toward a greater fundraising goal. All participants are encouraged to collect donations and fundraise beyond their entry fee to earn exclusive Furry Scurry swag. The more people on a team, the greater the impact on homeless animals in Colorado!

Registration for the Furry Scurry is $50 for adults and $25 for children now through April 30. Prices increase on May 1, so don’t delay. Visit furryscurry.org to secure your spot as an individual or create a team. To learn more about the Dumb Friends League, visit ddfl.org.
