Chautauqua WinterFest – DECEMBER 9-11, 2022: Holiday festivities in Boulder’s most magical setting

The Colorado Chautauqua is pleased to announce WinterFest 2022, a magical holiday festival of lights, horse drawn carriage rides, a tour of historic cottages, children’s concert with Jeff and Paige, cookies and crafts for the little ones, a digital scavenger hunt, s’mores, Santa’s Cottage, and more.

Visitors can also get a jump on their holiday shopping at the WinterFest Market, where they can buy gifts from local artists and vendors, as well as curated gifts and Chautauqua-branded items from the General Store. Guests will enjoy a sneak peek into Chautauqua’s rich history during this years’ holiday cottage tour, which includes a variety of cottage types, including the sustainably restored Mary H. Galey Cottage – all decked out for the holidays.

This years’ festivities will feature the popular Art in the Park installation of bear cubs brought to life by some of Colorado finest artists. The cubs, many supported by local businesses sponsors, will be auctioned in the spring, with proceeds benefiting the Chautauqua non profit, the artists, and participating nonprofits.

“Now in its fourth year, WinterFest has become a holiday tradition for the Boulder community and beyond,” notes Shelly Benford, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Chautauqua. “Our goal is to create an affordable, magical holiday experience that people, and families will remember forever.”

Visitors can warm up with coffee or cocoa in the quaint, year-round, Chautauqua General Store and take in views of the foothills from the new Chautauqua Cafe, reconstructed from historic photographs and now available for both public and private events.

Those who want to spend the night in one of Chautauqua’s private and pet-friendly cottages, can take advantage of a 10% lodging discount, Chautauqua’s holiday gift to you, when you enter code: WFEST at Chautauqua.com. This offer is good on stays from December 1, 2022, through January 30, 2023.
