Failure And Additional Lies By Boebert After Her Failure To Vote On Debt Ceiling Bill

DENVER: ProgressNow Colorado, the state’s largest multi-issue progressive advocacy organization, today called on Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CD3) to apologize for lying once again about her original lie to her constituents in Colorado’s Third Congressional District after failing to do her job by missing the vote on the debt ceiling compromise bill.

“Boebert has repeatedly failed the people of Western and Southern Colorado,” said ProgressNow Colorado Executive Director Sara Lu Loflin. “Boebert failed to vote. Then she lied about it. And now Boebert is lying about lying today when she blames the media for spinning her excuse for not voting.”

“Recent video shows that despite Boebert’s claim that she was protesting the vote, she was desperately running up the Capitol steps, hearing the vote was closed, but too late to make it.

Not only has Boebert lost her ability to fulfill the basic responsibility of her job, voting, she’s also lost her grip on reality. It wasn’t a ‘protest’ absence. She just failed to show up for work,” Loflin noted.

“Lauren Boebert clearly doesn’t want to work and doesn’t want the job,” concluded Loflin. “She can’t even keep track of her own story. Colorado’s Third District deserves someone representing them who actually cares about public service, who shows up to vote on their behalf, and doesn’t constantly lie to them. Where is Lauren Boebert’s apology?” asked Loflin.
