“We’re thrilled to be celebrating this milestone,” said Dry Land Distillers Co-founder Nels Wroe. “We look at this anniversary as a celebration of not only our distillery and dedicated staff, but of our community and all the people who have supported us over the last five years,” he added.

Straight Antero Wheat Whiskey – We’re releasing our first two-year Straight 100% Colorado Antero Wheat Whiskey starting Friday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m. Dry Land Antero Wheat Whiskey is crafted from 100% native Colorado Antero wheat grown just east of the distillery by Marc Arnusch Farms. The grain is a true Colorado original. It was developed in the 1980s as a collaboration between local Colorado growers and Colorado State University to create a resilient and environmentally appropriate grain for the Colorado climate.

Today, we’re the only distiller crafting a single-grain whiskey from the Antero wheat. It’s a 50-mile whiskey, with the grain being malted by Troubadour Maltings in Ft Collins and distilled on site at the distillery in Longmont. The Antero Wheat Whiskey is loaded with black cherry and plum notes, complex spices including cinnamon and pepper, and supported by a backbone of balanced tannins from the charred oak barrel.

The distillery will release 100 bottles of the Anniversary Whiskey – only available for purchase at the Distillery.

Dry Land Distillers Anniversary Release Straight Antero Wheat Whiskey – The distillery is releasing their first ever 2-year Straight 100% Colorado Antero Wheat Whiskey starting Friday, August 25th at 4 pm. It was developed in the 1980s as a collaboration between local Colorado growers and Colorado State University to create a resilient and environmentally appropriate grain for the Colorado climate. Today, Dry Land is the only distiller crafting a single-grain whiskey from Antero wheat. All of this whiskey’s ingredients come from within 50 miles of the distillery, with the grain being malted by Troubadour Maltings in Ft Collins and distilled on-site at the distillery in Longmont. The Antero Wheat Whiskey is loaded with black cherry and plum notes, complex spices including cinnamon and pepper, and supported by a backbone of balanced tannins from the charred oak barrel. The distillery will release 100 bottles of this two-year Anniversary Whiskey – only available for purchase at the distillery.

Dry Land Distillers Sloe Gin – The distillery will also feature the first Dry Land Distillers Sloe Gin at the Anniversary event. Sloe gin is a traditional British spirit made from gin and sloes, the fruit from the blackthorn plant. Sloes are similar to wild plums, and Dry Land Distillers sourced organic sloes directly from the UK for the project. The distillery will feature cocktails made from their limited edition sloe gin and will have a limited number of bottles available for sale.
