GASOLINE LOLLIPOPS with Support from Bonnie & Taylor Sims

and Phoebe Hunt

FOX THEATER, Boulder CO

NYE DECEMBER 31st, 2023

GASOLINE LOLLIPOPS confirms their return to the Fox Theater for a headline performance on December 31st. Tickets for the show, with support from Bonnie & Taylor Sims and Phoebe Hunt, are on sale now.

Gasoline Lollipops stitch scraps of American roots music to patches of their own tattered hearts to form an all-new tapestry of bleeding rock n’ roll.

Front man, Clay Rose was raised between an outlaw, truck-driving father in the mountains of Colorado and a song-writing mama in the sticks outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Clay’s penchant for open roads and trouble making are the backbone of the Gas Pop’s sound. The rest of the and consists of Don Ambory, Scott Coulter, ‘Bad’ Brad Morse, and Kevin Matthews who all come equipped with music degrees from Chicago, Boston, Jacksonville, and Denver, respectively. They each add flavors of their own background and heritage, further diversifying the band’s signature sound.

Gasoline Lollipops are three-time winners of Colorado Daily’s ‘Best Local Band’ award, two-time winners of Denver Westword’s ‘Best Country Band’ award, and winner of Colorado Sound’s 2022 ‘Colorado Spirit’ and ‘Band You’d Drive 105.5 Miles To See’ awards. Over the last several years they have toured throughout the U.S., Belgium, the Netherlands, and Belize. Today, the Gas Pops continue to bend genres and electrify live audiences with ferocious sincerity.

Clay Rose’s voice immediately reminded me of the likes of Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen; deep, gritty and dark, yet sustained with unwavering intensity and truth.” The Denver Post

With its barrage of influences, Americana can take many forms. Gasoline Lollipops exemplify this as the Denver-based band combines the unlikely forces of folk and punk into a singular sound.” Pop Matters

Somewhere in between punk provocateurs and folk storyteller, these talented musicians managed to combine engaging riffs and straight-forward arrangements with personable lyrics and quintessential arrangements that feel organic and diverse.” Colorado Daily

According to the Denver Post, the unique sounds of Gasoline Lollipops (fronted by singer-songwriter Clay Rose) are like “the Coen Brothers and Nick Cave holed up in Nashville after a near-death experience.” Denver Post
