Press releases are provided to Yellow Scene Magazine. In an effort to keep our community informed, we publish some press releases in whole.

We welcome you to attend our 18th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulder County Community Celebrations 2024 themed, “Fanning The Flames Of The Dream,” presented by the NAACP Boulder Branch, Second Baptist Church, and the Museum of Boulder.

Back by popular demand, you can expect a 9am Youth Workshop with the Silver Creek Leadership Academy and an inspirational keynote address by Dr. Reiland Rabaka, founder and director of the Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Featured music will be offered by famed jazz pianist Purnell Steen and The Five Points Ambassadors, a
band dedicated to playing and preserving the music of Denver’s legendary Five Points neighborhood. In addition, a well-deserved tribute to one of Boulder County’s Living Legends, Brenda Lyle, will conclude the stirring program.

Our first event will take place at the Boulder Jewish Community Center on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 3 pm at 6007 Oreg Avenue Boulder, CO 80303.
