Barbara Gal & Elizabeth Truskin
“Flower Girls”
March 29th – April 14th
Opens: Friday, March 29th

Flower Girls

This dual show at NEXT Gallery, features artists Barbara Gal and Elizabeth Truskin as they combine their work into one large show. Barbara, the oldest and longest member of the gallery, and Elizabeth, the youngest and newest. This is Barbara’s 13th show at Next and Elizabeth’s first. When they met last summer, they realized their work belonged together. Barbara’s work is inspired from two glorious days in Monet’s Garden in France – Elizabeth’s paintings combine women, and skulls with painted and actual flowers. In addition, the two artists are collaborating and adding to each other’s work.

Join us for the opening and come back for 40 West’s Celebration on First Friday, April 5th. Elizabeth is offering free drop-in watercolor classes during our exhibition on Fridays from 6 to 9, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 3. Come by and create your own art from a collection of real flowers. Show runs through Sunday, April 14th.
