Boulder, CO — Representative Junie Joseph will host a community town hall focused on public safety on Saturday, June 28th at 10:30 AM at the Canyon Theater inside the Boulder Public Library. The event is open to the public and will bring together local leaders in law enforcement for a thoughtful and informative conversation about the state of public safety in Boulder.

The town hall will feature a panel discussion with:

  • Stephen Redfern, Boulder Police Chief
  • Curtis Johnson, Boulder County Sheriff
  • Christian Gardner-Wood, Boulder County Chief Deputy District Attorney

The panelists will speak to current safety priorities, the challenges facing Boulder’s public safety systems, and ways the community and law enforcement can work in partnership to create safer neighborhoods. The event will include time for public questions and comments, encouraging open and respectful dialogue.

“Public safety is not just the responsibility of law enforcement—it’s a community effort,” said Representative Junie Joseph. “This town hall is a chance for us to come together, ask questions, share concerns, and explore how we can all play a role in making Boulder a safer, more connected place to live.”

The town hall comes at a time when many in the community are reflecting deeply on how to strengthen trust and transparency between residents and public institutions. The event is part of Representative Joseph’s ongoing effort to foster open communication and responsive governance.

All community members are encouraged to attend, listen, and participate in this important conversation.
