Celebrate Colorado’s 150th Birthday at the MILE LONG TABLE on August 1, 2026

Second Annual Cross-Cultural Community Event to Set America’s Longest Table

WHAT: In honor of Colorado’s 150th birthday, the Mile Long Table will bring together 5,280 people at the National Western Center in Denver to enjoy a shared meal, foster meaningful conversation, and celebrate the values that have shaped the state and city for generations. Longer Tables, in partnership with Southwest Airlines and Serendipity Catering, created this annual gathering to create greater connection, understanding, and belonging among all participants.

The 2026 Mile Long Table is a marquee table of 150 Tables Across Colorado, a campaign inviting cities and individuals statewide to set a table and build connections in honor of Colorado’s 150th birthday.

WHY: Inspired by Colorado’s agricultural roots and western spirit of hospitality, this year’s Mile Long Table will be more than a meal. It will be a powerful symbol of the Centennial spirit: welcoming, resilient, neighborly, and willing to pull up an extra chair for someone new.

“A connected city is a flourishing city,” said Longer Tables Founder and Executive Director Tim Jones. “The opportunity to bring people from different backgrounds, neighborhoods, industries, cultures, and generations together for a shared meal at a long table is a significant representation of Coloradans’ pride and our ability to serve as an inspirational example to set our differences aside and break bread together.”
