Presented by the NAACP Boulder County Branch
The 2023 Annual NAACP Freedom Fund, Boulder County
February 19, 2023, 3:00 pm Macky Auditorium, the University of Colorado Boulder
Featuring in concert: The Nashville African American Wind Symphony
The NAACP’s mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. It is clear that the role of the NAACP, as the organization of change and social justice, is more critical than ever before. At this pivotal time in our history, we are proud to feature many activities to help highlight our efforts to lead, advance, and advocate.
To commemorate their Annual Freed Fund fundraiser, the NAACP of Boulder County will present the world-class Nashville African American Wind Symphony (NAAWS) in concert. Comprised of over 50 classically trained musicians, NAAWS will perform standard literature classical music highlighting American folklore influenced by African American culture. Additionally, NAAWS will also debut new classical arrangements never performed!
