Riptide Swim Team Partners with Funds2Orgs for Shoe Drive to Support Elite Training Trip

Boulder, CO October 23, 2024—The Riptide Swim Team, a youth USA Swimming team, is excited to announce a fundraising partnership with Funds2Orgs to support an elite group training trip. The team is collecting gently worn, used, and new shoes to raise funds to help cover expenses for this critical training opportunity, which aims to prepare swimmers for high-level competitions.

Community members can contribute by donating shoes at the following drop-off locations:

• Colorado Athletic Club – Flatirons – 505 Thunderbird Lane, Boulder

• Colorado Swim Shop- 2525 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder

• Code Ninja – 1387 E. South Boulder Rd, Louisville

• Louisville Rec Center – 900 Via Appia Way, Louisville

  

“Our swimmers are training hard, and this trip will provide them with advanced coaching and team-building experiences to push them to the next level,” said Coach Jen Koschmann. “We’re grateful to our community for supporting this effort, and the Funds2Orgs partnership allows us to make a global impact through shoe donations as well.”

Funds2Orgs repurposes the donated shoes to support micro-enterprises in developing nations. The Riptide Swim Team will receive funds based on the total weight of shoes collected, so every pair makes a difference.
