The Westwood Community Center is a city owned building that was run by the Southwest Improvement Council for over 30 years. In 2022, the city released a request for proposal for community agencies to lease the space. Una Mano Una Esperanza, the Southwest Denver Coalition and Lifespan Local led design sessions with residents and community agencies forming the Westwood Together team. The proposal was accepted by the city and Una Mano Una Esperanza signed a lease on behalf of the collaborative team in the spring of 2023. The Westwood Together team: A group of residents and community agencies working together to create a vibrant and inclusive community center in Westwood that meets the needs and desires of the community.
