There could be a day in the near future that the town of Superior will be overrun by futuristic-looking golf carts whizzing by at a pesky 35 miles per hour. Sounds annoying, but it’s a proactive step toward reducing auto emissions. Residents are asking the city to take a page from the book of Lincoln, Calif., a town that has welcomed Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs) as a primary means of scooting around town. Lincoln, a community filled with retirees, built specific infrastructure for the more than 500 tiny electric cars there to use.

What’s Next: Residents and the Recycling and Conservation Advisory Committee will work to see what Superior can do to accommodate NEVs.
