A year after being lambasted nationally for its role in a frank sex and drugs discussion in front of teens, Boulder High School reveled a much safer lineup of topics for its part in the Conference on World Affairs this month. Africa, Hollywood, social networking and the Constitution will be on the bill. During last year’s conference, “STDs: Sex, Teens and Drugs” drew national attention, after it focused, and in some ways encouraged, teens to have sex and try drugs. Parents and conservatives lambasted the school for requiring attendance to the discussion.
What’s Next: We’re guessing something else at the conference (April 7-11 at CU-Boulder) will spark some controversial debates.
