If you’ve ever tried to get from Erie to Boulder without driving your car, you were either biking, running or transferring four times on an RTD bus. That is to say public transportation between the easternmost outpost and center of Boulder County has been severely lacking.

What a difference a new recreation center makes.

This week, George Gerstle, the BoCo transportation director, announced the popular Jump bus line that runs along Arapahoe Road between boulder and Lafayette will be extending service all the way to the Erie Recreation Center at the so-called burgeoning “Four Corners” development.

This is good—a direct public transit option into Boulder will make living in Erie and working in Boulder that much easier.

Service begins May 5 with one of those ribbon cutting type events that bring out mayors and chamber members. Click here for more information.
