It appears Adams County School District President Vicky Marshall and Treasurer Kevin Massey should be worried about their jobs. Restore Our Schools, a political issue committee formed to oust the aforementioned school officials, turned in enough signatures to the county clerk to force a recall vote. The group contends the school district has misspent a $98.6 million bond voters approved in 2006. At the center of this tiff is a signature high school that is costing nearly $100 million and admin offices with a $2 million price tag.
[What’s Next] An election will be held boot to these elected officials—meaning an expensive bill for the school district to pay for the vote.
Ironic, huh?
