DiamonEx wants to mine the hills of North Rabbit Creek Valley, estimating the three-acre site could yield hundreds of thousands of diamonds. Despite the bling, residents aren’t keen about the prospect. They don’t really want an open pit mine as a neighbor for the next few decades. Residents have formed a nonprofit, Leave Our Valley Alone Forever, to fight the prospective mining operation.
