Police have arrested and continue to investigate 30-year-old Luke Irvin Chrisco, the man who is suspected of hiding in the unthinkable muck of a portable bathroom at the Hanuman Yoga Festival on June 17.
On Thursday, Chrisco was picked up during a traffic stop in Vail and arrested on charges of unlawful sexual contact and criminal invasion of privacy; both are misdemeanors. A Vail police officer saw Chrisco during the stop and recognized the suspect. He is currently in Eagle County Jail.
According to police, Chrisco claims to be a multiple offender, saying he’s spied on women in restrooms across Boulder. Peepholes have already been confirmed in the restrooms of several local businesses and police are currently investigating other spots named by Chrisco. Police have not yet released the names of these businesses.
On June 17, the second day of the Hanuman Yoga Festival, a woman noticed movement when she lifted the lid of the toilet within a portable toilet. Quickly leaving the bathroom, she enlisted the help of a nearby man to investigate. He saw a man hiding under a tarp in the port-a-potty muck and left to find security. However, on their return, he had locked himself in the bathroom and tried to escape. In an unsanitary turn of events, security officials tried to catch the feces-clad peeping tom, but he escaped.
Chrisco has been linked to a pornographic modeling agency called Max Extreme Models and is listed as the company’s president. He also allegedly lists himself either as a “porn star” or a “male escort” on different blogs and websites. He has also been arrested in the past for crimes such as driving without a license and trespassing.
