Boulder, CO — TGTHR, a leading organization working to end youth homelessness, invites members of the press to attend a powerful youth-led panel discussion featuring young people with lived experience of homelessness. This free community event will provide rare insight into the realities of youth homelessness through the authentic voices of those who have experienced it firsthand.

Hosted by TGTHR, in collaboration with young people in TGTHR programs, this event will showcase the many unique faces and stories of youth homelessness while also shedding light on some of the recurring themes, systemic barriers, and challenges that exacerbate housing instability in our communities.

What makes this panel particularly impactful is that the panelists themselves reflected on and chose the discussion questions, shaping the conversation to convey what they want the audience to understand about experiencing homelessness, the impact of actions or inactions, and the need for meaningful dialogue that drives change. These young panelists embody courage, vulnerability, leadership, and hope; while bringing the critical lens of lived experience and highlighting the importance of community connection and support.

“Youth homelessness remains largely invisible to many in our community, despite affecting thousands of young people in Colorado,” says TGTHR CEO Annie Bacci. “This panel gives young people the platform to share their experiences in their own words, helping our community better understand the complex factors that lead to youth homelessness and the solutions that work.”

The event aligns with TGTHR’s mission to end youth homelessness by providing critical services that build a supportive community around young people, amplifying their voices, and celebrating them as they grow. TGTHR works with youth ages 12-24, providing everything from emergency shelter to safe housing and support for long-term stability.
