Book Signing of “Mountain Brew: A Guide to Colorado’s Breweries”
Twisted Pine Brewery Tap Room
Author Ed Sealove wrote a book about two of my favorite things: craft beer and Colorado. Ed will be signing copies of his book which is filled with all the info you need to know about every brewery in Colorado. Sealove spent two years touring breweries and this in-depth book is full of good info and is the perfect gift for the beer lover in your life. Pick up a copy of the book and grab a brew in at the Twisted Pine tap room today.
Thursday, August 2nd | 5-9 p.m.
Live Music on the Patio
Boulder Beer
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The patio at Boulder Beer is the perfect place to catch some live tunes and to drink a Kinda Blue—which sadly, is a summer seasonal, and will be all gone soon. Catch some classic rock tunes by Little Friday tomorrow night, along with a giant plate of delicious nachos and cold beverage. And if you’re up for it, get there a little early and catch the brewery tour at 2:00 p.m. It’ll make you appreciate the beer in your glass on a whole new level!
Friday, August 3rd | 6-8 p.m.
“Tap into Painting”
Bootstrap Brewing
For years, women have been holding “Girls’ Night Out” at which they complain about their husbands, turn off their cell phones, and gossip about the other moms in the carpool circuit. It’s cool. And doing all of this while drinking wine and painting pictures of the mountains or fun flowers has become a super popular addition to the tradition. But let’s be real ladies, you’d much rather have a hoppy IPA in your hand than a dainty glass of Riesling. So check out this new event that pairs painting with a frosty brew at local breweries. Plus, if you haven’t been to Bootstrap Brewing in Niwot, now’s your chance to check it out. And you definitely want to check it out.
Saturday, August 4th |1-5 p.m.
Mile High Beer Festival
Ogden Theater
I’m just going to get straight to the point on this one since time is running out for you to grab tickets. The Mile High Beer Festival is going on this Saturday at the Ogden Theater in Denver, and there are only a handful of tickets left for the first session. I—have tickets for the second session, and can’t wait to sample brews from Firestone Walker, Avery and the Denver Beer Co. If you’re interested, VIP tickets are still available and tickets can be purchased here.
Sunday, August 5th | noon – 5 p.m.
Avery Brewing’s 19th Anniversary Party
The Avery Brewing Tap Room
Someone has a birthday coming up! Help Avery celebrate their 19th year in style at their brewery in east Boulder. Avery promises lots of delicious beer (some barrel-aged), live music, tasty barbecue and lots more. Avery events are always, always packed, so visit their websites and purchase your tickets today.
Monday, August 6th | 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Ladies Event
Upslope Brewing
So Upslope has recently kicked off a series of events for the ladies. This girls only event gives women the opportunity to samples some Upslope beers, get educated on different beer styles and snack on some tasty cheese plates from Boulder’s own, Cured. Tickets are a reasonable $15 and a portion of the proceeds for this event will be donated to the Wildlands Restoration Volunteers. Craft beer and a good cause… I don’t even have to say it.
