The Jewish Holiday of Purim (celebration of the Book of Esther) starts at sundown on March 11. Here’s 5 things you might not know about this awesome holiday:

1. It’s like Jewish Mardi Gras. Costumes, parades and festivals abound.
2. Everyone gives or sends gifts to each other.
3. Everyone wears a costume.
4. If a city has walls, Purim is celebrated one day later.
