CalWood Fire starts near Jamestown

Local emergency disaster declaration signed

 

Boulder County, Colo. – A fire started near Jamestown and the Cal-Wood Education Center on Saturday, Oct. 17. A local disaster declaration was signed by the Chair of the Board of Boulder County Commissioners, Deb Gardner. 

The Boulder Office of Emergency Management was activated and is posting updated information on their designated channels. Please follow:

At this time, the Town of Jamestown has been evacuated. There is an evacuation check-in point set up at 3460 N. Broadway – Boulder County’s North Broadway Complex at Broadway and Iris. Evacuees and pets can go there to check in and receive further information. South St. Vrain (Hwy 7) is closed between Peak to Peak Hwy (Hwy 72) and the Town of Lyons, including Riverside Dr. Hall Ranch and Heil Valley Ranch trails are all closed and being evacuated.
