Pro-Palestinian advocates hold rally for Palestinian Human Rights on Capitol Steps.

Call for Palestine. We Unite. We March. We Demand Change.

(Denver, CO) May 14, 2021 – Today, Pro-Palestinian advocates will hold a rally in support of Palestinian human rights condemning the level of violence in Palestine and Israel, the displacement of families from Sheikh Jarrah, the desecration of Masjid Al-Aqsa, the violent attacks on Muslim worshippers during Ramadan, and the military attacks on civilian populations.

Coloradans are invited to stand in solidarity with Palestinians and seek change today, Friday, May 14th, 2021 starting at 4 PM on the Colorado Capitol – West Steps, 201 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80203.

Speakers include: Hon. Joe Salazar, State Sen. Julie Gonzales, State Rep. Iman Jodeh, and representatives from Colorado Palestine Club, Metro Denver Sanctuary Coalition, Jewish Voice for Peace, Denver Peace Council, Center for Freedom and Justice – Colorado, and more. Masks are required.

Organizers are mobilizing supporters to call on Congress to prioritize Palestinian human rights:

Place Conditions on Military Aid to Israel: ensure that U.S. taxpayer funds are not utilized by the Israeli government to support the military detention of Palestinian children, the unlawful seizure of Palestinian property and displacement of Palestinian citizens, and the expansion of illegal annexations on Palestinian land by supporting H.R.2590 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/2590?s=1&r=7), introduced Representative Betty McCollum.
Hold Israel Accountable: Despite clear international law, Israel continues to breach and violate humans rights violations by expanding settlements and upholding an apartheid regime that continues to deprive Palestinians of fundamental human rights and security.
Address and recognize the demands of Palestinians for freedom, justice, and security.
