Hello,
Thank you so much for your support of the Firehouse Art Center. We just wanted to let you know of the many things happening at the Firehouse in the coming month!
Chalkmont, celebrated on the last Saturday of the 2021 ArtWalk Summer on the Streets Festival, is coming to Downtown Longmont! On August 21 from 4pm-8pm, more than a dozen community artists will join together to create chalk art throughout Downtown Longmont on Main St. Artists will be located on Main Street and in the Breezeways Downtown between 3rd Avenue and 6th Avenue. These artists will turn concrete into a vivid canvas of colorful chalk art. The goal of the event is to create a venue for artists, vendors and visitors alike to enjoy live-art, music and local artisan vendors, while staying small enough to control crowds and enforce social distancing.
“Happy 150 Years, Longmont!” Sticker Competition: Sticker Giant and the Firehouse Art Center are inviting the community to create a Happy Birthday Longmont sticker to commemorate 150 years. The winner, selected by the Sticker Giant team, will be printed for September’s ArtWalk. Now through August 25, 2021, the community can email their 3” x 3” designs to [email protected]. Official contest rules are available here: https://firehouseart.org/
