High Plains Releases Full Schedule & Tickets
Lineup for comedy festival includes live podcasts, theme shows and showcases
DENVER, CO :: September 1, 2021—Today, the High Plains Comedy Festival released their full schedule, announcing 26 shows for their eighth annual festival. The announcement includes a couple of satellite shows, and even a few last-minute talent additions as special guests, including Ester Steinberg and Noah Gardenswartz.
The final schedule announcement includes four live recordings of popular podcasts—The Grawlix Saves The World, All Fantasy Everything, This Might Help With Matt Braunger, and Chubby Behemoth. Chubby Behemoth sees ex-Denverites (and still Coloradans) Sam Tallent & Nathan Lund welcome guests to riff on a variety of topics; This Might Help With Matt Braunger will feature the titular host Braunger and guest Adam Cayton-Holland doling out advice to callers with problems; and The Grawlix Saves The World marks the podcast’s debut on the fest lineup, with the hosting trio of Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy joined by a guest to tackle a challenge to better themselves—and the world. All Fantasy Everything makes its triumphant return to the High Plains stage—in a repeat of what was one of last year’s most popular lineups, hosts Ian Karmel, David Gborie and Sean Jordan, along with guest Shane Torres, will face off in a fantasy draft of a yet-to-be-announced topic at a special satellite show at Number 38.
Other schedule highlights include We Still Like You, where a fantastic lineup of comics share stories of shame; Shots Fired, a comedy roast show; and Better Than Heroes—a live Dungeons and Dragons show with four former and current Denver comedians, a guest and their intrepid DM playing a Spelljammer-inspired campaign. The fest will also feature a satellite show on its first night as it brings Faded Denver at Black Buzzarad into the fold.
Tickets for the Festival Headlining Show at the Paramount Theatre—a live recording of The Dollop podcast—are already on sale but selling quickly. Advance tickets for all remaining shows will go on sale Wednesday, September 1st at noon at highplainscomedy.com. These tickets will be priced between $10 and $25, with most tickets at $15 or $20.
The 8th Annual High Plains Comedy Festival will take place September 16th through 18th, at venues on South Broadway and Paramount Theatre in Denver, along with special satellite shows at The Black Buzzard and Number 38. Some shows are expected to sell out quickly, so Festival-goers are encouraged to buy tickets early.
High Plains Comedy Festival is held each fall in Denver, Colorado with title sponsor Illegal Pete’s and returning sponsors Bigtop Studio, Sexy Pizza and Pabst Brewing Company.
