Arapahoe County primary voters can act this week to get a choice in electing their next Sheriff when the primary rolls around.
José Gurulé, a career-long law enforcement officer and former elected official, is running in the all-virtual Saturday, March 5th Democratic caucus and assembly for County Sheriff. The online-only assembly will determine who gets on the ballot for June’s primary vote.
The caucus and assembly are open to all registered Democrats in Arapahoe County who sign up before the web event opens at noon on Saturday. A shortcut to the form is at bit.ly/caucusforjose.
Participants will meet first at the precinct level to choose delegates to the county assembly, which will happen immediately afterward, also online. Supporters of José should request to be elected as assembly delegates as write-ins, which is encouraged in order to maximize public participation in the process.
