About the Musicians
A native of Paris, France, Brune Macary has been an active performer and music instructor in the Denver area for the past nine years. A versatile musician, Brune performs extensively in baroque and classical orchestras as well as in smaller intimate chamber music groups. She is a member of the major baroque ensembles of Colorado, Sphere Ensemble, Steamboat Symphony and she is the Principal Second of the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. She also enjoys playing with various local folk bands and regularly releases pop music with her solo project, Brune M. She holds a Master of Music in violin performance from the University of Nevada, Reno, and studied music pedagogy at CU Boulder.
Cellist Christine Mallery moved to Colorado to pursue a Doctorate in music from UNC. She holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in cello performance with a minor on viola from Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia. Christine has been principal cellist with the Greeley Chamber Orchestra since 2015, and plays flute with the Sherwood Park Flute Ensemble. She has also been a member of the Maryland Symphony, the Millbrook Chamber Orchestra in West Virginia, and the Mercersburg Area Chorus in Pennsylvania. Along with performing, Christine has been teaching both private lessons and school music. She has been teaching band and orchestra at Nederland Elementary and Nederland Middle Senior High for seven years and currently teaches at Crest View Elementary and University Hill Elementary in Boulder.
Swedish-born Kajsa Teitelbaum graduated in December 2014 with her Doctorate in organ performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. As a soloist, Teitelbaum has performed in various places throughout the United States, Sweden, and Serbia. She has also been soloist and accompanist for various ensembles, among others Lindsborg Community Orchestra, KS, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, Cantabile and Seicento in Boulder, and Yampa Valley Chorus in Steamboat Springs, CO. Teitelbaum has serves as Director of Music at First Congregational Church in Boulder, CO since 2012.
