BOULDER, CO – June 24, 2022 – YWCA Boulder County, the Women’s Collaborative of Boulder County, Women’s March, League of Women Voters, and other community partners announced today that they will be holding a march for women’s freedom on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Participants will congregate at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Boulder County Courthouse (1200 Pearl Street) in downtown Boulder. The march will start closer to 9:30 a.m. following a short opening program.

The march was planned in response to the announcement of the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the implications of marriage equality, contraception access, and many other fundamental rights guaranteed by the Supreme Court also being in jeopardy. The event has been organized to ensure our elected officials are supporting the rights of women.

“We are joining forces and inviting our community to share the power of our collective voices in the fight for women and girls’ freedom to thrive in a safe, equitable, and empowering community,” said Debbie Pope, CEO, YWCA Boulder County. “We will not back down – we will continue to raise our voices and stand united for the rights of all women, pregnant people and girls,” she added.

YWCA Boulder County is a proud partner of the march and of defending a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body. Join us in mobilizing and defending reproductive rights by registering at: https://act.womensmarch.com/event/bans-off-our-bodies-events/3764?nr=1&akid=.2222147.bTtEhp

Note: The march organizers are dedicated to providing a safe experience for all participants.
