Longmont, Colo., March 12, 2025 — Giving is sweet, so national nonprofit Can’d Aid and frozen greek yogurt brand Yasso are partnering for a third consecutive year and will give 1,200 kids brand new bicycles with the help of hundreds of local volunteers!

For the last two years, Can’d Aid and Yasso’s internal non-profit, The Yasso Game On! Foundation, worked together to provide 2,200 bikes and helmets to children in underserved communities—and are thrilled to be teaming up again in 2025 to donate 1,200 more! Together they are on a mission to get kids outside and active.

This year, 12 philanthropic events are scheduled to take place throughout the US. Can’d Aid rallies local volunteers to participate in these bike building events, where they assemble Can’d Aid’s signature kid-sized, cherry red bikes. The bikes will then be donated to students at Title I elementary schools across the country — for many of these children this is their first bike.

“Bike rides and sweet treats go hand-in-hand,” said Lisa Vortsman, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer Unilever North America. “Yasso and Can’d Aid share a mission of getting kids on bikes and giving them the freedom of the outdoors. From improving motor skills to boosting mood and providing healthy outlets, bike riding is an activity that kids can enjoy for life”

At each donation event, kids are treated to a high-energy demonstration by professional cyclists like REEB Cycles rider Jeff Lenosky, a world class freeride and trials mountain bike rider and longtime Can’d Aid ambassador. Lenosky wows kids with a safety demo and awe-inspiring bike tricks— giving the children a glimpse into the possibilities of life on wheels, before being surprised with a bike of their very own!

Since Can’d Aid’s inception in 2013, the nonprofit has built and donated over 21,700 new bikes and skateboards to children across the country. Can’d Aid has rallied over 33,700 volunteers to create positive change in their own communities through the bike and skateboard building events.

“Our programs not only provide children with the tools they need to live active lives, but also shows the community how easy and fun it can be to give back,” says Can’d Aid Founder and Executive Director, Diana Hicks. “Seeing the look on the children’s faces when they realize they are going home with a bike of their own is an unforgettable experience, and is the reason we get out of bed each morning.”

Yasso, known for exceptional Greek frozen yogurt made with quality ingredients, is a purpose-driven company that gives back through their Game On! Foundation. The brand, which appears on the Inc. 5000 2023 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America list, believes in advocating for health and wellness and providing communities with the tools and resources they need to get moving and stay active.
