Postino Brings Craveable Food & Boutique Wine to the Pearl Street Mall

DENVER – Restaurant and wine bar Postino WineCafé is preparing to roll out its craveable menu and welcoming hospitality to the People’s Republic of Boulder. Since making its Colorado debut in Denver’s LoHi neighborhood in 2015, Postino has become a proud member of the Colorado community – one glass of wine and board of bruschetta at a time. Postino will be located on Boulder’s bustling Pearl Street Mall at 1468 Pearl Street, Suite 110 – across from Illegal Pete’s and Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop.

“We’ve had our eye on Boulder for years,” said Postino co-founder Lauren Bailey. “The stars aligned with the right location and we jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this special community. We’re excited to add a unique gathering place for Boulderites to call their own and can’t wait to join the neighboring restaurants and businesses on the Pearl Street Mall.”

Known for creating eclectic, sophisticated and vintage-inspired spaces, Postino Boulder is designed with the guest experience top of mind. The layout lends itself to a casual meetup or buzzing social hour with intimate tables and lounge areas fit for any occasion.

A unique focal point of each location (think Postino LoHi’s book wall or Postino Broadway’s decoupage of groovy concert playbills), Postino Boulder elicits whimsey and nostalgia with an art wall featuring hundreds of pairs of reclaimed roller skates – a nod to a scene in the early ‘70s and ‘80s “Mork & Mindy” sitcom when Robin Williams’ character roller skates down the pedestrian Pearl Street Mall.

Postino’s menu includes a bountiful selection of must-have bruschetta, charcuterie boards, from-scratch soups, fresh salads and panini sandwiches. For shareable bites, the menu features “Snacky Things,” which include the OMG Grilled Cheese served up with a piping hot and creamy tomato soup dip; butter poached shrimp scampi; sweet potato wedges; and more. The 12 delectable bruschetta offerings include brie & apple with fig spread; smoked salmon with pesto; sweet n’ spicy pepper jam with goat cheese and more. Other guest-favorites include the Brussels sprouts salad with kale, Brussels sprouts, Manchego, spicy Marcona almonds, bacon, and lemon-Manchego dressing topped with dried cherries; the Nine Iron Panini, with sugar-crusted smoked bacon, grilled chicken, fresh stracciatella, mixed greens, tomato and Dijonnaise; and The Bounty Board, a rustic medley of heirloom carrots, cauliflower, broccolini, sweet pepper, blistered Brussels sprouts, nuts, roasted artichokes, watermelon radish and a green goddess dressing that will instigate last-bite-fights. Postino’s menu offers various options for dietary restrictions, including gluten-free bread and vegetarian options.

Famous for its award-winning wine program, Postino serves an ever-changing selection of boutique wines – including more than 30 varietals by the glass – along with ten beers on tap, including selections from local Colorado breweries such as Odell, Ratio Beerworks, Left Hand, Oskar Blues, Upslope and more. Alcohol-free libations include hand-crafted refreshers like the Apricot Palmer, Cucumber Honey Lemonade and Blackberry Smash, all of which are made with Postino’s house-made lemonade.

The weekend brunch at Postino is in a category all its own and will appeal to Boulderites and visitors looking for a curated selection of satisfying offerings like Umbria Egg Toast, featuring scrambled egg with crema and white truffle, crispy oyster mushroom, and Parmigiano Reggiano atop a toasted ciabatta; and the Seeded Avocado Toast with Calabrian chile tahini, hard-boiled egg, watermelon radish and lemon oil. Brunch cocktail highlights include the spritzy Lectric’ Eye composed of Cappelletti, Dolin Blanc, fresh lemon juice, and soda; and the Sherry Mary, a Postino take on a classic Bloody featuring Oloroso Sherry, Rainwater Madeira and Bloody Mary mix. Postino also offers $6 Mimosas and Bellinis on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Happy hour will be available daily until 5 p.m. every day of the week, during which all wines-by-the-glass and pitchers of beer are an approachable $6. Every Monday and Tuesday evening after 8 p.m., guests can enjoy Postino’s iconic “Board & Bottle,” which includes a bottle of wine and a bruschetta board for just $25.
