I’m done with the pendulum

Swing right, swing left, never stops

It isn’t a pendulum, it’s a wrecking ball

Crashing through all of Us

One nation under Oligarchy, divided by the Plutocracy

Our Father warned Us against factions to divide but he has been shushed

Keep them fighting each other says the one percent

Then snowflake or bigot we are equally crushed

Why is it this or that

Why isn’t it Us

What about the welfare of humankind

What about ALL of Us

A Nation divided by a wrecking ball

A pendulum that keeps swinging

Hate is its energy

That’s why it keeps winning

It is time we become the friction

The air and the gravity to its motion always swaying

Why let the rich one percent decide

When it’s the rest of Us who keep paying

How to be the end of this motion

To be the nation once promised

Where all, not just men, are created equal

And hatred is abolished

So how do we ALL win

We each get to decide

To me, it’s US Altogether

The only way to survive

As the wrecking ball descends

What will you do

Be the friction and stand with Us

Or support the pendulum at the demise of you
