DENVER — In response to the House of Representatives’ vote to pass President Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, Colorado Democratic Party Chair Shad Murib issued the following statement:

“Today, Colorado House Republicans joined their colleagues in voting to screw over every working class American family by passing Trump’s Big Ugly Bill. Gabe Evans, Lauren Boebert, Jeff Hurd and Jeff Crank showed all of Colorado who they really are: grifters who would rather bail out billionaires than help working people who are struggling to get by because of their economic policies.

Gabe Evans and Jeff Hurd had the chance to be on the right side of this disaster and stand up to their king and preserve these crucial social programs we all rely on. Instead, they bent the knee after flirting with standing up for Coloradans.

This billionaire-first budget bill is a robbery in broad daylight, and they’re shameless about it — every Republican, Democrat, and unaffiliated voter will be hurt by this legislation so that billionaires can enjoy yet another handout from the government.

After President Trump signs this bill, many Coloradans will soon see their health insurance and food assistance vanish. In their communities, rural hospitals will close and economic opportunity will continue to shrink.

We are thankful for all the members of our Democratic Congressional delegation who did everything they could to stop this trainwreck. Our fight to keep our country on the right track continues. We cannot and will not give up.”

This is what Gabe Evans, Lauren Boebert, Jeff Hurd and Jeff Crank voted for…
