With help from the Super Mario Bros., SuperKids Expo is leveling up in 2026. Before the pandemic, SuperKids Expo was one of Boulder County’s most beloved and biggest kids’ events. This year, we are keeping the tradition by bringing back the largest free kids event, with bouncy houses brought to you by Bounce Empire and rock bands from the School of Rock. April 25 is the day just about kids.

There is no other kids event like the SuperKids Expo in Colorado. Test your climbing skills on our rock climbing wall, meet your favorite video game characters, rock out to Kuthandara and kids bands from School of Rock Broomfield and Boulder, and get a taste of what these camps have to offer with exhilarating activities and entertaining demonstrations. Come find your inner ninja, knight in shining armor, scientist, or cowboy with a variety of vendors. Grab some grub from local food trucks and restaurants at The District in Lafayette at 400 W. South Boulder Rd.

Dress up like your favorite video game or comic book character and have the chance to win a special prize from your favorite vendor. Photo booth opportunities available.

If you’re an aspiring Stan Lee, don’t forget to submit your original illustration for our Cover Comic Contest in conjunction with Time Warp Comics in Boulder. The chosen art will be featured in Yellow Scene Magazine’s SuperKids Issue. The issue goes to press in March. Submit to [email protected], by February 28th, 2026.

Every year YS puts together the most exhaustive and in-depth camp guide in Boulder County while spotlighting kids who are “movers and shakers” in the community. Huge thanks to our sponsors, The Fowler Group at The Agency, Dunton Commercial, KGNU, and Bounce Empire for helping put this all together. It takes a lot to put on this cherished event, with an army of volunteers, promotion, and kids entertainment.
